Stranger Than Fiction

How to improve your script by convincing the audience that there is no other way this could’ve spiraled out, in Stranger Than Fiction.

I wonder if non-writers find this film equally intriguing as we do. I wonder if they understand “writer’s block” something that Emma Thompson’s character suffers from, for the most part of the film, and that they communicate instantly like we do. I wonder if the story could’ve been told some other way. I wonder. I feel like I, as a viewer, end up wondering more than the writer Zach Helm or the director Marc Foster did for their film Stranger Than Fiction. The best asset of the film is Maggie Gyllenhaal who has somehow carried the responsibility of compensating for every actor’s acting and has acted for everyone in her team. What a joy to behold someone speaking through their eyes more than what was written for her.
